The new Clearwater, a fully featured neoprene wader - 07/25/10

Building on an already strong reputation in the fishing wader category, BARE is proud to release the new Clearwater neoprene wader.  The Clearwater is a fully featured neoprene wader designed for the serious sport fisherman.

Inspired by the 200+ hectare Clearwater Lake set in the majestic Chilcotin mountain range, the Clearwater includes all the features you expect of a high-end neoprene wader.  Constructed of 4mm neoprene throughout, a rugged exterior nylon lining and body and leg seams that are triple glued with heat taped exterior and interior, this wader is built to stand the test of time.  Other unique features include an antimicrobial inner lining and a 4-point entry main pocket with hand warmer (and drain hole that acts as a tippet dispenser).

As breathtaking as the landscape of the majestic Chilcotin mountain range may be, as I row into a small bay of the 200+ hectare lake, my focus remains on the catch of the day—wild stock Rainbow. In an instant, one of the larger 'bows that reside here hammers the green Wooly Bugger. The reel screams as he takes three leaps, and in a split second the lake of glass turns into turbulent chaos. With the rushes behind me on this eastern shore, I play this hog for a quarter-hour until he surrenders. Five pounds is my guess—let’s see if he hits six next year.
